Not bad, but not great. It was okay, food was tasty in my opinion. Overall, the restaurant was okay in all aspects. Nothing special but okay for a quick stop.

We have been coming here since I was a child and it is our #1 stop when we are in the Quad Cities. Amazing salsa bar, delicious crispy chips and the BEST beans. Get an order of the medium tacos and you can thank me later :) Great owners and staff. Don't miss this stop! Totally worth the 20 minute drive from Palmer too if you're visiting!

My daughter and son in law decided on a taco bar for their wedding last weekend. Through referrals we heard that Adolph's put on a great taco bar So we went with Adolph's in East Moline. We're we ever pleasantly surprised. The cost was very reasonable and the food was exceptional! Many guests commented on the great food and asked where the tacos were from. I haven't had Adolph's in a long time and forgot how good the food was. Thank you for a great experience and delicious food!

I mean for midwest Americanized mexican...its kinda blargh for me... As for me, someone who lives in San Diego California and knows real Mexican (fast) food.... this does not come close. okay interior and staff seems nice though.

Two words: Taco Tuesday. Although there are many Adolph's locations this is the one that feels like home. All of my friends worked here in high school and my Grandpa would always bring me here. Their refried beans are my favorite. The breakfast menu is cheap, amazing, and should not be missed!

Salsa bar is always great. Unfortunately the food is sort of bland. Don't get me wrong, it's not bad at all, but all the dishes taste similar in my opinion. Good mexican food, but there are over a dozen places I would go before I went here.

Meh. I'm coming to the conclusion that location does matter...the Midwest could certainly learn a lot about Mexican food. Adolph's kind of reminded me of something I once ate in my elementary school cafeteria. At least the chips were good.

Have always loved the food and the people! Though, I am a bit biased since it is family owned and it is my family that owns them. So to the review "Rich" as far as "Authentic" would not know authentic if it bit him since all the food is made by "Authentic" family recipes from the first taco made how many years ago by my Great Aunt Louise and Great Uncle Adolph's "Perez" original home kitchen recipes?

Adolph's is great local Mexican food. the beef tacos are literally the best. The guacamole is great. The Tortas are awesome although not enough unless you order double meats. I also love the nacho nuggets although I don't know how authentic they are ;) it's a little pricey I think but worth it. I do wish that they wouldn't let people place orders at their drive up window, it takes too long, should be reserved for pick up only.

The food here can be tasty, but it's far from authentic! However, when my wife does order from here, it's not bad at all, but I wouldn't even consider going here on my own. It's okay, and the masses seem to enjoy it. To me it's very average at best.

Great food all around! Taco Tuesdays is definitely the biznass!!! Great tasting tacos, plus a complimentary chips & salsa bar definitely make Tuesdays a hot spot! Other favorites of mine from here are the cheese enchiladas and taco salad. Been coming here since I was a little kid and now that I live in Las Vegas I have to make a stop here for a meal ever time I come back to visit the family. The only negative thing I can say is that they have Pepsi products, and unfortunately the only diet soda is Pepsi...Diet Mountain Dew would be a nice addition. But still a great meal and if you've never had it before, stop in. The East Moline location is the best of all of them!

Love Adolph's! Have been going here for years and is high on my list to visit when in town. It's family owned and everyone is very friendly. They do a lot for the community and I like supporting local owned establishments. The food is basic and the quality is consistent. They had taco Tuesday specials long before it became a trend. I really like the sauce that comes with the food on the side. If your looking for good basic non-flare Mexican dishes this is the place. The location in east moline is open Sundays with a buffet.

Let me break it down: This location is severely lacking in ambiance. I mean I am loathe to sit there and eat my food. I always get it to go and either take my food home or back to the office (I work across the street). The salsa bar is nice, but sloppy - especially during busy times. However - they are cheap and more importantly the food is awesome. B/c of the price it's my fav Mexican. If you want to sit in and eat your food (w/o salsa/chip bar though) go down to the Moline location. I haven't had a bad meal at Adolph's - and the catering Taco Bar is delicious too.

Got the taco deal on Tuesday togo. Taste was so so. I saw a man about 40's take garbage out to the dumpster wearing rubber gloves, I hope he changes these rubber gloves when he was touching my taco shells. I did like their rice. Next time I will order food that they don't need to touch with hand. This glove thing spooks me out.

I do not know what the deal is, though it seems everything on the menu is excellent. I really dig the cheese crisps, enchiladas, burritos, chips, chimichangas, and tacos The food always tastes very fresh and the meat is of a high quality. The churros are also the best I have had for sure.

better than average food, yes if I had the $ I would redo the interior with much better chairs and tables floors and walls, but keep the food and the prices the same. But then if I made the $10,000 investment , everyone would be in there , and there would be lines and there would be waitiing, additional cooks and wait staff would be needed , they would be making too much money and forget about the customers. So , lets hold off on the "improvements" will go back , again and again.

5/28/3010: Adolph's now serves breakfast. I think I heard angels singing as I entered. It's a beautiful thing, seeing the chips and salsa bar in the morning. I can get my fix as early as 7:00 a.m., Monday through Saturday. On Sunday, brunch is served. I had chorizo and eggs served piping hot accompanied by rice, beans and corn tortillas. Their coffee was fresh. Enjoy! Mmmmm, Adolph's.

Amazing salsa's! Best taco's. I've been going here since I was a kid. I go here all the time and pick up salsa and chips for home. Plus every Tuesday is taco tuesday!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
